E is for eggs......................

To me any kind of nature in a house is calming (though I do remember a chicken getting in the kitchen once which was definitely an exception!) and eggs are the ultimate neutral accessory and don't forget duck egg blue which still seems to be very popular........

This soft duck egg ceiling compliments the soft green vintage glass collection but I confess I can't find out where I found it-please let me know if you know- everytime I search for it I just come up with more photos and I am trying to limit myself to 50 per post!

You can buy vintage egg prints ( try Piddix) and use them for crafts or cheat and get these lovely cards from wicked pen on etsy.

I confess I had a little play myself ................ guess which egg below is from a chicken?

This duck egg blue shelf is from Cox & Cox

I adore the simple beauty of Christopher Gallego's lovely paintings- I'll be showing them as much as I can......

This picture is from (the nostalgia fairy @ flickr) via Villa Anna

This mixed media collage would look great against a white wall from Scarlet beautiful on Etsy

I think the small print reads living etc magazine Nov 2007

This lovely egg shows the migration path of the Artic tern by Samantha Clark

This image is from The Paris Apartment

I was really trying to end this post when I wandered into this heavenly ceiling in Phrae, Northern Thailand not literally of course but here .You may have to shoot me for using the word again but it is lovely, lovely, lovely!

Please let me know your favourite image and any suggestion for F would be useful! Though the big challenge is I- Help!

I love the egg prints and how you've used them on the cushions, how did you do that?
Such Beautiful paintings too.
How about feathers for "f", I especially adore the black and white spotty guinea fowl ones.

i agree with jessica - feathers are a good f.
or, flora - keeping it specific to the coast.
(i much prefer the weather in england to LA's 106 degree temp. too hot!)

I've just discovered your lovely blog via Posy. What a great idea to work through the alphabet with beautiful inspiring images. Love those eggs on the cushions best. I'm with Jessica that feathers would be a good one for f or what about flowers or is that too obvious or too large a subject? Will definitely be back for a visit and if I think of a good subject for 'I' I'll let you know.

I'm thrilled you left a comment on my blog so that I was able to discover yours! How beautiful and inspirational!! I'd love to mention your blog in an upcoming post on mine, and would ask permission to use one or two of your photos as a sample of what you are doing? You are the Sue Grafton of the blog world!! ha ha ... Hmmm "i" is a tough one! How about ice? it could cover icicles, ice storms, ice castles, ice sculptures... Can't wait to see what you come up with for each and every letter!...Donna

How about 'ferns'? "I" is more difficult - hmmmm - "ivory" or 'ivy' or 'iridescent'?

Lovely site.

I forgive you for the over-use of the word lovely, if for no other reason than because there really isn't a better way to describe that ceiling - extraordinarily lovely indeed!
